Thanks @mkwiles!!!

Howdy guys,

I just wanted to let you all know that thanks to my interview with Mary Kate, we’ve hit a new record for most views in a day with 596. That is about 4.5 times higher than the last record. It’s really neat to see that people have enjoyed the interview with her.

Anyways, here’s the video that I record yesterday. There were some technical issues, but I hope that you enjoy.

If you want to read the interviews that I’ve done with Matt, Kylie and Mary Kate, you can do so here.

Anyway, there should be another new video tomorrow as well as some new interviews coming soon.

Decicion 2012!!!

Hey guys,

Now, I know that I’ve promised myself to not make this a political thing at all, so I know what you’re wondering. “But Nerd, the title of the post is ‘Decision 2012′” I hear you, but rather than I explain I thought that I would show you what I’m talking about.

You see now. It’s a spoof on all of the political ads that have been going on in the US.

Here’s the one for the dogs:

So I want to know what you think. I leave your answer in the poll below.

Other News

In other news, I thought that I would give you a posting schedule for my youtube channel.

Here it goes:
Monday-a full Rants with Nerd  episode
Wednesday and Friday-just a simple vlog-ish type video
Saturday and Sunday-Gameplay

This will start next week. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to keep up with it over the summer, but this is what I want to try. Other than that, I don’t think there is anything else coming other than a few interviews. Let me know if there is anything else you guys want to see. I don’t want this to be all about what I want.

Let’s Play All Zombies Must Die!!!

So I thought that I would try something new. I’ve been watching quite a few commentaries on YouTube for various games and thought that I would try it out myself. It’s not great, but I think that there’s a bit of a learning curve.

I hope that you enjoyed. If you have an constructive criticism, I would love to hear it. Leave it in the comments below.

This post isn’t about a bully at all. It’s about a documentary entitled Bully, a documentary all about the effects of bullying in schools.  I think that this is a very powerful project that can change the school systems as we know it.

Here’s the synopsis from the film’s web site:

Over 13 million American kids will be bullied this year, making it the most common form of
violence experienced by young people in the nation. The new documentary film BULLY,
directed by Sundance and Emmy-award winning filmmaker Lee Hirsch, brings human scale to
this startling statistic, offering an intimate, unflinching look at how bullying has touched five
kids and their families.

BULLY is a beautifully cinematic, character-driven documentary. At its heart are those with
huge stakes in this issue whose stories each represent a different facet of America’s bullying
crisis. Filmed over the course of the 2009/2010 school year, BULLY opens a window onto the
pained and often endangered lives of bullied kids, revealing a problem that transcends
geographic, racial, ethnic and economic borders. It documents the responses of teachers and
administrators to aggressive behaviors that defy “kids will be kids” clichés, and it captures a
growing movement among parents and youths to change how bullying is handled in schools, in
communities and in society as a whole.

Watch the trailer below:

I’ve been bullied before. It’s not fun. It’s not right, but even though I was bullied, I always tried to be friends with those people who were bullied worse than I was or didn’t have any friends. I made it my mission to be a friend to all.

I plan to do a more in depth video/post about this project in the near future.

So I’ve got quite a bit going on for the next month. Today marks the start of Script Frenzy! Script Frenzy is a contest of sorts. The goal is to write a 100 page script in 30 days. I’ve done it before and succeeded my first without much thought or planing into that script. This year, I have had my script planned out for the majority of March and really think that it’s going to make it to 100 pages. Anyhoo, I’ll post more about that during April.

Monday, I have an interview with Carter Mason, the co-founder of (just the story). Just the Story is a web television platform a lot like Netflix, but I’ll have Carter tell you more about it.

I’m starting a new project for my internship. I’m thinking that it will be similar to this, but have a more historical emphasis to my hometown. It’s going to be a fundraiser and I hope that I can get it all done. Expect regular updates about it.

Thank you, @AnyoneButMe!!!

It’s kind of a bittersweet, surreal moment to be posting this video. I never ever thought that Anyone But Me would come to an end. I’m getting choked up just typing this post. I created an extra special episode of Rants with Nerd to sum up my feelings.

I remember when I posted my coming out video (Click here) and Nicole Pacent, the actress who plays Aster, saw and tweeted me this:

I still can’t believe that I was inspiring to someone who really inspired me. I’m huge fan of hers and like I said in my video, she, along with the rest of the cast, has gotten me into wanting to act in front of the camera.

I’ve also had twitter conversations with Rachael Hip-Flores (HipFlor), the actress who plays Vivian, and Tina Cesa Ward, one of the creators of the show.

thternerd221—So I’m a little late on #followfriday but check these peeps out @AnyoneButMe @felciaday @HipFlor Check em out!!!!!
HipFlor—thanks for the #FF shout out!
thtrnerd221—it’s my pleasure. You are a true inspiration to me. Since watching ABM, I’ve started to identify myself as questioning. Thanks.
HipFlor—Honest inquiry is the best of all things. Good luck!
thtrnerd221— I’ve have come to the conclusion after 5 years of denying. I can’t say enough good things about the show and your acting abilities.
HipFlor—Thanks so much!

They’ve really created a community around the show and it’s going to be a small void in my life now that it’s over.

I’m not sure that there is anything I didn’t say in the video. It pretty much summed up how I feel about the whole thing.
